For the Academic Year 2025-26:- students can apply for ICCR’s Scholarship Scheme. ICCR offered the following Scholarship Schemes for the students session of 2025-26. Annually, ICCR provides around 3,500 scholarships across 160+ countries, fostering global education ties. These scholarships support undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies in Indian universities, covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses.
ICCR has offered these scholarship schemes:-
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (A1201)
- Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209)
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) – This scholarship also known as General Scholarship Scheme, under this scheme ICCR has announced 640 scholarship slots globally at Indian Institutes / Universities for the academic year 2025-26.
- Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209) – This scholarship scheme for Indian Culture. Under this scheme ICCR has announced 100 Scholarship slots globally for pursuing study of Indian Culture such as music, dance, performing art, dance, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine, etc. at Indian Universities/ Institutes for the academic year 2025-26.
ICCR Scholarships 2025
ICCR’s A2A scholarship portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in. will be open from 20th Feb 2025, for international students those who are interested for this scholarship. Students are welcome to apply to universities/institutes in the order of preference. Admission Application Guidelines for ICCR Scholarship:
- Students should regularly visit the official website a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in of the University/Institute as they are interested in.
- They should check the list of courses offered by the University/Institute.
- Students must carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria for the courses they want to apply for.
- They should make sure they meet all the requirements for the course.
- Students must submit all the necessary documents required by the university, along with the basic certificates mentioned in the application form.
- They should check the university’s official handbook or visit the University Grants Commission (UGC) website for additional details and guidelines.
NOTE: Only English translation of documents are accepted, if original documents are not in English. ,then you have to submit an application with missing information, the university can reject it immediately without further review.
ICCR Scholarships Eligibility criteria:
- For Undergraduate / Postgraduate courses applicant age should be between 18-40 years.
- For PhD Programmes students age should be 50 Years Maximum.
- All ICCR Scholarship Students must have a Medical Insurance policy.
- The insurance must cover at least ₹5 lakhs per year.
- Students must get insurance before traveling to India or immediately after arriving.
- Students can choose any insurance company of their own choice.
- For convenience, the ICCR portal provides two recommended insurance companies for reference.
Student would obtain admission on the A2A portal (a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in) after that all students required to register to SII portal getting for unique id further process including obtaining visa and registration with FRRO.

Monthly stipend: INR 18,000
Annual contingent grant: INR 5,000
Postgraduate (PG) Students:
Monthly stipend: INR 20,000
Annual contingent grant: INR 7,000
M. Phil and PhD Students:
Monthly stipend: INR 22,000
Annual contingent grant: INR 12,500
