Here’s what you need to know about NSP OTR registration for 2025-26:
What is NSP OTR?
- OTR (One Time Registration) is a unique number allotted to students that will be applicable for their entire academic career on the National Scholarship Portal.
- It allows students to register their personal, academic, and bank details just once, saving time and effort for future scholarship applications.
- Once you have an OTR, you can apply for any scholarship you are eligible for on the NSP without re-entering your basic details.
Key Information for 2025-26:
- Registration Start Date: The NSP OTR Registration for 2025-26 is already active and available. Some sources indicate that scholarship applications (fresh and renewal) for the academic year 2025-26 are expected to start around July or August 2025, with some schemes opening earlier (e.g., March 1, 2025, for some general NSP scholarships).
- Application Deadline: The last date to submit scholarship applications on the NSP for most central, UGC/AICTE, and state-level schemes is generally expected to be around November 2025. However, specific deadlines can vary by scholarship scheme and ministry. For instance, the NMMS scholarship 2025-26 fresh/renewal application submission on NSP is expected to be August 31, 2025.
- Mandatory OTR: OTR is now mandatory to apply for scholarships on the NSP from AY 2025-26 onwards.
