Why Aikyashree scholarship was formulated?

This scholarship is for minority students in West Bengal. Students from class 1 to postgraduate or PhD level can apply through the Aikyashree scholarship portal. The West Bengal Minority and Finance Corporation started this scheme to provide financial help to minority students, whether they are Hindu, Muslim, Christian, or from other groups. The main goal is to give socio-economic benefits to the weaker sections of society in West Bengal.

Aikyashree Scholarship Form 2024-25

• West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship: – This Scholarship has to be given to students. Those studied from class 1 to class 10th. The amount given in the Scholarship will range from 1100 Rs to 11000, as per the subject taken by the student.
• West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship:- From class 11th to Ph.D. students. This scholarship program has run. An applicant was pursuing ITI, diploma, Graduation, Post Graduation, MPhill, BEd, etc. Can apply under this program. Scholarship financial help would be maximum of 16500 Rs, as per the subject taken by the student.
• Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship: Similarly, this scholarship program is for Female students only. As the name has Kanya, it means girl. The Scholarship has for girl students.
• Swami Vivekananda Merit Come Means Scholarship: This Scholarship has been given to Class XI to Post Graduate students. The amount of Scholarship ranges from 12000 Rs to 60000 Rs. As per the subject opted by the students for studies.

• Family income of the students should equal or less than 2 lakhs per year.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

• Students applying should be a domicile of West Bengal. That is he or she should be born in West Bengal and also living there.
• Students must be studying in class 11 or class 12.
• If a student is in class 11 or 12th then he or she should have got 75% in class 10.
• If a student is at the undergraduate level then he or she should have got 75% minimum marks in class 12th.
• The maximum family income of the applicant should not exceed than 2.5 lakhs
• The selection will be solely based on merit basis.

Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal

• Students applying should be a domicile of West Bengal. That is he or she should be born in West Bengal and also living there.
• Applicants should belong from a non-Hindi speaking state.
• Students should have got minimum marks 60% with Hindi as a core subject.

What are the steps for applying to the Aikyashree scholarship?

If you’re willing to take the Aikyashree scholarship then there are two ways in which you can do it.

Registration

• First of all, go to the official website of the WBMDFC and click on the Aikyashree scholarship.
• Click on the button “New registration”
• Select your district then it will ask you all the personal details. Fill that.
• Then after filling all the necessary information click on submit and record.

Scheme selection

• After filling the column have a look again and click on submit and proceed.

Student login

• After proceeding and registration, you will get a temporary student login and ID password.
• You will get the password through your email. After that, you can log in with your id and password in Aikyashree scholarship.

Conditions For Aikyashree Scholarship

1. The applicant has to submit a certificate regarding family income at the time of application.
2. For “Renewal” applicants, the continuance of Scholarship will be subject to securing 50% marks in the previous year examination.
3. Maintenance allowance will be provided to hostellers and day scholars.
4. Students should be regular in attendance, for which the competent authority of the school will decide the yardstick.
5. If a student violates school discipline and any terms and conditions of the Scholarship, Scholarship will be suspended or cancelled.
6. The course/tuition fees are maintenance allowance will be credited to the student’s bank accounts directly under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Mode.
