E-Medhabruti Odisha 2025-26: E-Medhabruti Scholarship scheme 2025 is given to students by the Orissa Government. Every year the scholarship is Prevalent by the Higher Education Department on merit-cum-means basis. As a part of the scholarship scheme, students are granted an amount of INR 5000 – INR 10,000 per year. E-Medhabruti, an ideal scholarship scheme of Government of Odisha, In order to encourage and motivate brilliant students of Odisha prosecuting higher studies in the field of General, Technical and Professional education, the Government of Odisha is awarding different scholarship every year through Higher Education Department on merit-cum-means basis.

e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2025

The scholarship grants meritorious students financial assistance to complete their undergraduate, postgraduate, or technical/professional education.  “e-Medhabruti” scheme is a scholarship program by the Government of Odisha’s Higher Education Department. Its goal is to give financial help, up to ₹ 20,000, to talented students from Odisha whose parents earn less than ₹ 6,00,000 annually. Each year, 14,500 scholarships are awarded. The scholarship covers the entire duration of the student’s course. Applicants can apply for the e-Medhabruti Scholarship only in their first year of the course.

e-Medhabruti Eligibility:

Undergraduate Merit: This category covers courses like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., as well as BBA, BCA, BJMC, and others that span a duration of 3 years.

Postgraduate Merit: This applies to postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and other non-professional fields. Admission to these courses requires a prior degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce.

Technical & Professional Merit: This includes undergraduate professional degree courses and integrated courses specified in the guidelines. Examples are B.E., B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, BCA, BHMS, BAMS, B.Pharm, B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. (Agriculture), etc., recognized by regulatory bodies like AICTE, MCI, DCI, CCIM, CCH, INC, UGC, etc.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The student must live permanently in Odisha State.
  • The total annual income of the student’s parents from all sources should not be more than ₹ 6,00,000.
  • The student must have achieved at least 60% marks in their previous qualifying exam, as specified for each merit category.
  • Students are allowed to apply only in the first year when they join their course.

Benefit:

  • The selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to Rs 30,000 for the course duration.

E-Medhabruti Scholarship 2025 Renewal

The Government has been pleased to make the scholarship for any student once awarded under EMedhabruti Scheme automatically renewable from year to year till the completion of the course subject to a student continuing in the course as authenticated online by the Principal. The online authentication procedure for fresh and renewal cases for SAMS and non-SAMs colleges is explained in the Instruction Manual available in www.medhabruti.org. To avail of this scholarship in further classes also, you have been given some steps by which you can renew your medhabruti scholarship form

  • The students who are recipients of the E Medhabruti Scholarship receive the scholarship for the specified time.
  • After the date ends the scholarship is discontinued.
  • To continue the scholarship the student must fill the renewal form of the E Medhabruti Scholarship.
  • The renewal form is dived into 3 parts, the applicants have to fill in personal information and institute details in 1st and 2nd part respectively and in the 3rd part, the students must fill his/her personal bank account information.

  • Students must be a resident of India for the scholarship.
  • In class X students are compulsory 60% marks.
  • Students’ family income should not be above six lakhs.
  • The candidate should have one of the lower grades like A1, A2, B1, and B2 or its equivalent percentage like A1-95%, A2-85%, B1- 75% and B2- 65%.

  • In the application structure, the thinker is required to provide his name, address, email ID, telephone number, date of birth and more data in it.
  • Everyone who understands that at the time of enrollment will give their dynamic telephone number and dynamic mail ID as they give new data identified with the assessment that you will arrive on time.
  • Provide correct data at the time of recording all perceivable structures. Since the data you provide will be written on your accepted card.
  • After filling the application, you will need to include your filtered photo and verify the signature.

e-Medhabruti scholarship General criteria

  1. The scholarships for +2, +3, & P.G. students shall be awarded to boys and girls in a 50:50 ratio. In case requisite numbers of candidates are not available under any scholarship category. The balance number of the scholarship shall be awarded to the other eligible applicants of the same scholarship category.
  2. The income ceiling of parents shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakh per annum. The concerned students shall submit income and resident certificates from the Revenue Officer, not below Tahasildar / Additional Tahasildar. The students whose parents are working under Odisha State Government have to produce income and resident proof from the employer.
  3. A student already in receipt of any scholarship awarded by the State/Central Government or any other agency can not avail of this scholarship unless they intend to forgo the other scholarship. Suppose any student receiving a scholarship under Medhabruti gets a higher rate from any other source. In that case, they shall refund the scholarship amount through the Head of the Institution by Bank Draft in favor of the ‘Under Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department‘ payable at Bhubaneswar.
  4. Multiple registrations by a student are strictly prohibited. If any student is found to have been indulged in such irregularity, his/her application will be rejected.
  5. Suppose requisite candidates are not available under the Professional / Technical categories of scholarship. In that case, the balance number of scholarships shall be awarded proportionately to the other eligible applicants of different streams of the same scholarship category.
  6. Students pursuing higher studies through distance learning correspondence are not eligible for such scholarships.
  7. The technical/professional scholarship does not cover students pursuing Diploma level courses.
  8. The scholarship may be discontinued at any time on the Head of the Educational Institution report that the academic progress and conduct of the concerned student has not been satisfactory. Good conduct shall be a necessary condition of every grant/renewal of the scholarship.

Selection procedure

  • Students will be selected for the e-Medhabruti scholarship based on their marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Priority will be given to students who belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.

This means that while academic performance is a key factor, additional emphasis is placed on supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

  2. Students are already availing scholarships for pursuing higher study under any other state or Central Government schemes.
  3. Students pursuing diploma level courses are not eligible for e-Medhabruti Scholarship (Technical/ Professional)
  4. Students of Mphil and Ph.D. and BEd and MEd are not eligible for UG, PG, or technical & professional Merit scholarship under e-Medhabruti.

Who can apply for Medhabruti Scholarship?

Below are the standards to use for medhabruti. The applicant should be a resident of Odisha Parental income should be up to six.00 lakhs. Applicants should have secured quite 60% of the mark (aggregate) of the last exam that appeared For P.G Courses:- +3 aggregate Mark. For U.G (Engineering & Medical Courses):- + 2 aggregate Mark Other Professional Courses:- 60% in +2/+3/equivalent examination as applicable to pursue the Technical/Professional courses for both boys and girls. The applicant should apply only within the year of Pass out. for instance, the scholar passing the category XII exam in 2017 only can apply for the Senior Merit Scholarship within the year 2017-18.

Who aren’t eligible to apply?

Diploma course Students. Lateral Entry Students Distance course Students. B.Ed and M.Ed course Students. M.Phil and Ph.D. Students. Applicants that have discontinued their studies. for instance, Students passing the category XII exam in 2016 having a year gap and joining Engg/Medical/any professional courses within the year 2017 can’t avail medhabruti scholarship under the technical/professional category.

How to get a Residence certificate?

The concerned student has got to obtain his/her residence certificate from the concerned Tahasildar/Addl.Tahasildar. the scholars whose parents are working under Odisha state Govt. can produce resident proof from the employer.

Can a candidate avail of multiple scholarships?

No. As per Govt. Guidelines, a candidate can avail just one scholarship from Central or State Govt. for instance, students getting to take PRERANA Scholarship under SC & ST welfare Deptt. shouldn’t apply for e-medhabruti.

What are the specifications of scanning the document to upload?
